The City of Rosemount is exploring opportunities to establish an eco-green business park to promote sustainable economic development. An eco-green business park is a cluster of businesses that coordinate with each other to reduce waste and pollution, share resources more efficiently, and leverage synergies between their product and customer bases. The goal of this project was to explore opportunities for attracting green businesses and encouraging the adoption of green building/manufacturing standards for a future green business park in Rosemount. In collaboration with city project lead Kim Lindquist, Community Development Director for the City of Rosemount, a team of students in PA 5242: Environmental Planning, Policy, and Decision Making explored best practices, policies and case studies that could provide lessons for developing an eco-green business park in the City of Rosemount.
