Student services, such a childcare opportunity or dining opportunities, have been shown to increase the overall student experience and retention. North Hennepin Community College wishes to increase the amount of student services it provides. Students in Dr. Greg Lindsey’s Planning and Public Affairs Capstone Workshop conducted focus groups and administered surveys to students at the college to better understand what services they valued most. The results showed that students value food-based services most, with the exception of parent-students who prefer childcare services over other services. The students’ final report and presentation are available.ensustainabilitylocal governmentBrooklyn ParkBrooklyn Park Projects, 2016-2017NHCC Site Concepts: Supportive Off-Campus ServicesPresentation
