Jacobs, Lawrence R.2020-09-162020-09-162006-06-29https://hdl.handle.net/11299/216215As part of its 2006 Elections Project, the Center for the Study of Politics and Governance hosted a series of policy talks featuring candidates for statewide elective office. The purpose of the series was to provide an opportunity for each candidate to discuss their substantive concerns about critical challenges facing Minnesota and the nation, and to offer recommendations on appropriate policy responses. Amy Klobuchar, DFL-endorsed candidate for United States Senate, addressed a public audience at the Humphrey School on “A Minnesota Vision for Ethics Reform in Washington”. Ms. Klobuchar’s talk was followed by an open question and answer session with the audience, including media. Amy Klobuchar is Hennepin County’s chief prosecutor, managing an office of nearly 400 employees serving the state’s most populous county. Prior to her election as Hennepin County Attorney in 1998, Klobuchar worked in private law practice. She has served in leadership positions with a number of community organizations, including Big Brothers, Big Sisters; Campfire; and PACER; and in 1996 was recognized by CityBusiness as one of Minnesota’s leading young business and community leaders. Klobuchar holds degrees from Yale University and the University of Chicago Law School.enAmy KlobucharElectionsSummer 2006: Candidate Policy Forum with Amy Klobuchar (DFL)Presentation
