Hispanic Advocacy and Community Empowerment through Research (HACER) was contracted to conduct the assessment because of their long history and mission in providing advocacy and empowerment efforts through research to the Latino community in Minnesota. HACER conducted 10 interviews with Latino parents that have children enrolled in the FamilyMeans program, and 13 surveys to non Latino families that also have children enrolled in the program. The report summarizes the following: participant's impressions of the Investigation Station program, the Teen Center program, potential preschool classes for children, and acculturation issues for the Latino participants.
