In that role, Leighton was one of the nearly 50 federal employees who co-authored the “Desirable Characteristics.” Leighton will give a brief overview on the creation of the “Desirable Characteristics” and then turn to how it will be used at DOT and with contracted researchers to inform research data preservation practices.
