The morning of this day-long institute focused on findings of the National Longitudinal Transition Study-2 as well as perspectives of youth about what works in helping them succeed. The afternoon sessions—small-group facilitated discussions—provided participants opportunities to learn from and interact with researchers who shared their knowledge regarding how the key areas of schooling, career preparation, youth development/youth leadership, family involvement, and connecting activities can improve outcomes for secondary youth with disabilities.
