When it comes to foreclosures, the City of Brooklyn Park has various efforts to aid in the property’s recovery. Despite their efforts, residents still perceive foreclosed homes as being dangerous by attracting crime. Students in Dr. Edward Goetz’s Housing Policy class helped the city analyze the efficacy of their foreclosure recovery efforts. The students compared Brooklyn Park’s programs to those of other cities, and offered recommendations for creating a more effective program.
