But even as the campaign rages on, election officials across the country are also grappling with their own challenges as Election Day approaches this November. Join Doug Chapin, director of the University of Minnesota’s Certificate in Election Administration program, for a free webinar that will examine how the nation’s election process is changing, specifically: Rapid growth in online and so-called “automatic” voter registration Changes in the way voters receive and return their ballots Updates to voting technology and state and local governments’ struggles to pay for it Ongoing fights across America about efforts to require voters to show ID and/or proof of citizenship in order to cast a ballot. Chapin will also take questions and offer a short overview of the Certificate program, which is currently enrolling practitioners and students for its courses for both the upcoming Fall and Spring semesters.
