Minnesota 3-D2019-06-052019-06-052006https://hdl.handle.net/11299/203411This project involved an analysis to help inform commute patterns surrounding University Avenue. With the potential for substantial transportation development in the form of the proposed Central Corridor light-rail transit (LRT), University Avenue neighbors strive to anticipate its potential impacts on businesses, residents, and neighborhoods. Maps were created representing where University Avenue workers are traveling from to their place of employment. Additional maps represent where residents within a one-quarter-mile radius of proposed Central Corridor LRT Stations travel to work. Additional maps attempt to represent future redevelopment potential surrounding University Avenue along with potential implications of the proposed Central Corridor LRT. According to the figures compiled using M3D data, a large number of University Avenue employees live in St. Paul or the eastern portion of the Twin Cities Metro.
