The goal of this project was to create wayfinding design concepts for Downtown Saint Paul that can contribute to vibrant and connected communities, activated streetscapes, and economic vibrancy. CapitolRiver District Council project lead Jon Fure collaborated with students in Professor Satoko Muratake’s course, DES 3331: Street Life and Urban Design Seminar, to conduct a site analysis and observe the physical conditions of the CapitolRiver District study area; identify issues, constraints, opportunities, and relevant precedents; and develop final design concepts.
