The goal of this qualitative research project was to find ways to reduce barriers and increase park participation among seniors, who are underrepresented parks users. Washington County project lead Connor Schaefer collaborated with a team of students in Dr. Greta Friedemann-Sánchez's course PA 5041 to conduct in-depth, semi-structured interviews with senior residents of Washington County about their park usage. A final student report and PowerPoint presentation slides from the project are available.enresiliencelocal governmentseniorsparksResilient Communities Project, 2021-2022A Qualitative Study of Washington County Parks: Senior UsagePresentation
