In this talk I will present recent studies targeting the interplay of turbulence, shocks, magnetic fields and particle acceleration in galaxy cluster outskirts. Using high-resolution grid simulations with the ENZO code, I will discuss how simulations and available observations of non-thermal emissions can constrain, both, the acceleration efficiency of particles at shocks and the origin of extragalactic magnetic fields.enICMFTPIPresentation
