There is increasing evidence that BV is associated with potentially severe gynecologic and obstetric complications. Many patients with BV experience frequent recurrence of their symptoms after standard treatment. This brochure describes signs and symptoms, diagnosis, treatment, complications, and prevention of bacterial vaginosis.
