Abstract
The Lake Superior Libraries Symposium is a conference developed by library staff and technologists from Northwestern Wisconsin and Northeastern Minnesota. From an initial collaboration of academic and public libraries to educate their community on E-books, the idea for a regional professional network was born. Out of that collaboration the Lake Superior Libraries Symposium was created to help library staff develop enhanced professional networks and promote resource sharing and communication between organizations. Our continued operations are thanks to the in-kind and monetary contributions of our supporters. 2014 Keynote Speaker is Jessamyn West.
Description
Our Inaugural Conference was held on June 1st, 2012 at WITC-Superior. Over 130 attendees from Minnesota, Wisconsin, South Dakota and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan joined in the fun. Presenters from around Minnesota and Wisconsin shared projects, expertise, and visions in presentation sessions and poster sessions throughout the day.
