Welcome to Public Health Moment from the University of Minnesota. As a parent, should you send a lunch to school with your child or trust that the school lunch is healthy and nutritious? We posed that question to Lisa Harnack, a University of Minnesota epidemiology professor. Here’s what she had to say. <Clip: If you choose to pack a lunch for your child, Harnack has the following advice: <Clip: Harnacks adds that parents would be wise not to send money to school with their child for purchasing snacks and soft drinks from vending machines or ala carte items at the lunch counter.
