RURAL LIFE IS UNDERGOING rapid and constant change in response to urbanization, growing industrial technology, increased superhighway transportation, and mass communication media. Educational opportunities also are improving in rural areas; this is of great importance both to those remaining there and those migrating to urban and metropolitan centers.
