Abstract
RURAL LIFE IS UNDERGOING rapid and constant change in response
to urbanization, growing industrial technology, increased
superhighway transportation, and mass communication media. Educational
opportunities also are improving in rural areas; this is of great
importance both to those remaining there and those migrating to urban
and metropolitan centers.
