Abstract
This is Forest Stewardship Plan for the University of Minnesota (UMN) North Central Research and Outreach Center (NCROC). The property is a total of 899 acres, 38% of which is categorized as being covered by forests or trees. The stewardship plan includes an overview of legal, abiotic, and biotic factors of the NCROC property with a focus on forested portions; a brief overview of property history; goals and objectives for the forested portions of the property as they relate to forest resources in the region and the mission and vision of both the University of Minnesota and NCROC; property maps with legal, ecological, soil and water details; description of the forest, its resources and factors that contribute to its present condition; stand-level descriptions of forest cover type at the time of writing; and forest stewardship and management recommendations.
