Abstract
In the present wide-ranging and deeply personal 6,135-word review essay, I mention (1) Laura Field by name 28 times, (2) my former teacher Walter J. Ong by name 54 times, (3) Donald Trump by name 22 times, and (4) the American Catholic political scientist Patrick Deneen by name eight times as I succintly highlighlight (1) Laura Field's 2025 book Furious Minds: The Making of the MAGA New Right (Princeton University Press), (2) Walter J. Ong's work, and (3) my life and some of my OEN articles.
