Abstract

In my 4,450-word review essay "Rboert Moore's Theory of the Archetypes of Maturity, and Walter J. Ong's Thought,", I intersperse highlights of the work of the Jungian psychotherapist and psychological theorist Robert moore (1942-2016; Ph.D. in psychology and religion, University of Chicago, 1976) and of the American Jesuit media ecology theorist Walter J. Ong (1912-2003; Ph.D. in English, Harvard University, 1955) of Saint Louis University, where, over the years, i took five courses from him. In addition, I highlight Scott Jeffrey's fourteen-part essay "King Warrior Magician Lover: Four Foundational Masculine Archetypes" (2025) that is available online at his website. Overall, I mention Moore by name 28 times and Ong by name 38 times.
