Description

The NFL landed in the middle of a fiery cultural debate when NFL players began taking a knee during the playing of the national anthem, drawing sharp criticism from President Donald Trump. Are the players exercising constitutional rights and making a constructive contribution to debates about race and social justice, or betraying American values and their contracts? The NFL national anthem protests will be debated by a distinguished panel reflecting conservative, academic, and journalistic perspectives. Panelists: Doug Hartmann, Professor and Chair, Sociology Department, University of Minnesota Scott Johnson, Blogger, Power Line Frank White, RBI Coordinator at Minnesota Twins and Curator, Minnesota Black Baseball Project Moderated by Professor Larry Jacobs
