Abstract
The Blue Lake Wastewater Treatment Facility is located northeast of
Shakopee, Minnesota, on Highway 13. Recent plans to upgrade the facility
include the addition of disinfection basins and a dechlorination channel. The·
dechlorination uses an S02 solution which is injected through a multiport
diffuser in the bottom of the dechlorination channel. The dechlorination
channel and the S02 feed are shown in the plan layout in Fig. 1-1. The
elevations in the prototype (full scale) are shown in Fig. 1-2.
