Title
Sing, Muses, of the Grief of Achilles: An analysis of the grief of Achilles in the Iliad using Coping Theory and Grief Psychology
Abstract
Within the study of the Iliad, few scholars have attempted to take a psychological look at the characters within the epic. This thesis takes a look at how the character of Achilles grieves and copes with the death of his companion, Patroclus, through the lenses of modern Coping Theory and Grief Psychology.
