Historical and current injustices, trauma and discrimination continue to impact Native communities across Minnesota and beyond - including our youngest children. Leech Lake Early Childhood Development's Megwayaak Project seeks to increase opportunities for outdoor learning and play to help buffer the impacts of adversity and support young chilren's health, development and well-being. This report summarizes research on nature-based learning and provides recommendations for the project team.
