Angels' Angle Newsletter

This collection contains issues of Angels' Angle, the newsletter of the Area F-1 Angel Flight, from 1968 and 1969. Angel Flight was the female auxiliary of the Air Force R.O.T.C. It was sponsored by Arnold Air Society (the male arm of the Air Force R.O.T.C. program).

The UMD Angel Flight held its first formal business meeting on May 15, 1962, and was accepted into the National Headquarters of Angel Flight in February 1963. The objectives of the Angel Flight were to advance and promote interest in the Air Force, to promote "esprit de corps" within the corps of cadets, to aid the progress of the Arnold Air Society, to serve as a campus service organization, and to act as official hostesses for and participate in social activities of Arnold Air Society.

Other newsletters of the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps Detachment 420 sometimes include Angel Flight activities as well.
