Historical note: The Facilities Subcommittee was previously the Physical Facilities Committee, until the Bylaws were updated in late 2013/early 2014 (approved June 2014), though materials immediately after the name change use the name "Facilities Committee" (despite being a subcommittee).
From the 2020 Bylaws of the UMD Campus Governance: The Facilities Subcommittee will work with campus units to review significant projects and provide input into physical facilities planning and the Campus Master Plan. The Facilities Subcommittee will make recommendations in accordance with the Campus Master Plan, the UMD Strategic Plan, and the campus budget plans. The subcommittee will foster continued communication with administration and make recommendations to the appropriate senates or standing committees.
