The Task Force on Student Access was established in 1975 to study the question of access, especially by minorities, to the University of Minnesota. The task force was responsible for reviewing policies, procedures, programming, and funding that impacted student access to all campuses of the University, focusing on college admission policies and procedures, transfer procedures, tuition, and programs for part-time and transfer students. The task force was formed by University President C. Peter Magrath at the request of the Board of Regents, with Frank Wilderson appointed as chair. The final report of the task force was submitted to the University administration in late 1977 and distributed in 1978.
