Department of Accounting and Finance

Through both classroom and experiential learning experiences, you will be provided with the skills and knowledge to develop an expert understanding of the accounting and finance disciplines. The faculty of the Accounting and Finance Department contributes to LSBE's BAcc, BBA, and MBA degree programs.

Historical note: When the School of Business and Economics (renamed the Labovitz School of Business and Economics in 2003) became a separate collegiate unit as part of a structural reorganization on the University of Minnesota, Duluth campus in 1974, it contained a Department of Accounting. In 2017 this was combined with the Department of Finance and Management Information Sciences to form the Department of Accounting and Finance.
