VG published scholarly essays and reviews of the works and lives of women writers and artists of color. The essays featured here address theoretical, pedagogical, or historical aspects of topics such as minority identities, authorship, roles for technology in literary education, textuality and visual culture, etc. The majority of the reviews published on the site were created by students and introduce some of the most important works by women writers of color. For information on how these reviews were integrated into classroom assignments, see the three Sample Syllabi (found under Teaching Materials).
