The mini MUTT aircraft was designed and built by the University of Minnesota based on the BFF vehicle number 06 and the X-56. The mini MUTT has the same outer mold line (OML) as the BFF aircraft and has detachable wings in a manner similar to the X-56 aircraft. This aircraft was designed and built as a preliminary test platform in the area of aeroelastic control. Flight and ground testing has been performed on this vehicle by the University of Minnesota. Included is reference data generated by this testing, which may be useful for the creation of aeroelastic simulations, structural and aerodynamic models, and analysis of GVT data. The mAEWing1 wings will be built to work with the mini MUTT center body.
