The Bridge (also called the UMD Bridge and the University of Minnesota Duluth Bridge) was a publication of University Marketing and Public Relations and the Office of Alumni Relations (and various earlier iterations) at the University of Minnesota Duluth. It began as a quarterly publication of the Alumni and Campus Relations Offices and replaced Alumnus, which was mailed to all UMD graduates, and Profile, which was mailed to parents, media, faculty and staff, legislators, and friends of UMD. The Bridge is a newsletter for alumni and friends of UMD.
This collection includes issues from 1983 (volume 1, number 1) through 2019 (volume 36, number 1), with several missing issues.
From Fall 1985 through Summer/Fall 1995, the Fall or Summer/Fall issue of most years contains the Office of Development's Annual Report and Honor Roll of Contributors. (Exceptions: in 1986 it's the Winter issue and in 1989 it's the Summer issue.) The January 2011 issue contains the 2009-2010 report. After 1995, this recognition is usually included in the UMD Annual Reports and later the Office of Development's Annual Donor Reports.
