The Health Sciences & University Hospitals Historical Collections provides a central access point for a selection of high-use and pivotal health sciences related historical materials that have been digitized to enhance access and functionality.

The materials include committee reports and recommendations, departmental histories, precinct planning documents, cost allocation studies, and governance information. The digitized documents also include historical material from the major academic units that became the core elements of the newly formed administrative home to the health sciences, the Academic Health Center, in 1970.

Major components of this collection include documents related to the Health Sciences Planning Office, the University Hospitals and Clinics and the UMHC Board of Governors, the Committee for the Study of Physical Facilities for the Health Sciences, and the External Committee on Governance of the Health Sciences.
