KarstGIS.zip         GIS Arcview shape file (krstindx.shp) of MN karst 
			feature locations and information/metadata on GIS 
			files (krstindexMetadata.pdf)
KarstDB.zip          Karst feature Database available in three formats 
			including a data viewer in Microsoft Access 2000 
			(krstView.mde) and an Access 2007 version 
			(krstView.accdb) where common field with shape file 
			table is "relateid". Third, a flatened database file 
			in Open Database format (karst.odb).

The karst features database is maintained by the N.H. Winchell School of
Earth Sciences, University of Minnesota - Twin Cities Campus.  It contains
information karst features mapped over the last 25 years with the support of
the Legistlative Commission on Minnesota Resources, by the Department
of Geology and Geophyics, the Minnesota Geological Survey, and the Minnesota
Department of Natural Resources.  Recent database development was supported 
with funding from the Minnesota Department of Health.  The database is 
updated on a regular basis.

The data viewer krstview.mde is modified from the water well database CWI 
data viewer, developed by Fuliao Li of the Minnesota Department of Health.  
It requires un-zipping software to move the database to a hard disk and 
Access 2000 installed on the target system to run the database.
