This is a instance-segmented underwater trash dataset, containing thousands of images with different types of trash, plants, and animals.

There are two versions of this dataset: the material version (with classes defined by the material of the trash), the instance version (with classes defined by the type of object of the trash). The data for both these versions is in the dataset.zip file, along with the original data, and scripts for creating these two dataset versions. The instance_checkpoints.zip and material_checkponts.zip files contain checkpoints for Faster-RCNN and Mask-RCNN evaluations of both the instance and material checkpoints (respectively), using Facebook's detectron2: https://github.com/facebookresearch/detectron2
