Contained in this directory are scanned versions of the 6
map plates for the Scott County geologic atlas.  The plates
we imaged at 300 dpi in 24bit color as tifs and converted
to pdf for distribution.  The files here are:

 plate1.pdf  -  physiography and data base
 plate2.pdf  -  surficial geologic map
 plate3.pdf  -  surficial sections and drift thickness
 plate4.pdf  -  bedrock topography (plus well construction
                  and bedrock aquifer susceptibility)
 plate5.pdf  -  bedrock geology
 plate6.pdf  -  hydrogeology

Georeferenced versions of the maps are not available at
this time.

GIS coverages of the bedrock geology and bedrock topography
are available (slightly modified/updated along the Carver
and Dakota county borders) as part of MGS Misc.Map M-104 - 
Bedrock geology and structure of the seven-county Twin Cities
Metropolitan Area, Minnesota by Mossler and Tipping, 2000,
scale 1:125,000.

The surficial geology has been remapped and is available in
GIS coverage form as part of MGS Misc.Map M-106, Surficial
geology of the St.Paul 30 X 60 minute quadrangle, Minnesota
by Meyer and Lusardi, 2000, scale 1:100,000.
