File List A. Filename: Inventory1973.pdf Description: Inventory of fruit trees including seedlings, selections, cultivars and accessions that existed at time the record was created (circa 1973) - however, the index for the location is not present. Includes apple, pear, plum, apricot, cherry, peach. Species included: Malus/apple; Malus/crab apple; Prunus/apricot; Prunus/cherry; Prunus/peach; Prunus/plum; Pyrus/pear -------------------------- METHODOLOGICAL INFORMATION -------------------------- 1. Description of methods used for collection/generation of data: A listing of all fruit trees at the HRC listed by cultivar name or sequential selection number (MN xxxx), Accessions in the inventory are designated by N followed by two digits for the year and 2 or 3 digits for the unique accession acquisition in that year. Seedlings in the inventory are designated by cross number where the designation for a cross consists of the first and last letter of the common name of the crop followed by a number that includes the last two digits of the year and then the sequential number of the cross within that year, e.g. AE 5501 would be the first cross (01) made in 1955 (55) in the crop apple (AE). Grape is GE, strawberry is SY, raspberry is RY etc. Refer to the apple phenotype files for more information on selections or cultivars, the accession files for more information on accessions, or pollination records for more information on crosses. 2. People involved with data collection: As stated above, since the data was collected over large periods of time, it is unclear who authored each page/dataset.
