Filename: HS-DMDc_TIEGCM.zip Short description: Archive file. Contains two files: 1. HS_DMDc.m This is a matlab script that reads in the variables in TIE_GCM_ROM.mat and computes the reduced order dynamic and input matrices A and B for a reduced order model for TIE-GCM. The user needs to define the values of ri (r_hat) and r as described in the accompanying paper. The script also describe and define the variables in the TIE_GCM_ROM.mat file. 2. TIE_GCM_ROM.mat This file contains the variables to compute the full and reduced rank dynamic and input matrices for a reduced order representation of the Thermosphere-Ionosphere-Electrodynamics Global Circulation Model (TIEGCM). 2. Relationship between files: 3. Additional related data collected that was not included in the current data package: N/A 4. Are there multiple versions of the dataset? No -------------------------- METHODOLOGICAL INFORMATION -------------------------- 1. Description of methods used for collection/generation of data: The data included in the mat file was obtained using 12 years of TIE-GCM model simulations. TIE-GCM is an open source, freely available physical model of the Ionosphere-Thermosphere that is widely and commonly used in the scientific community. More information about the model can be found in the following reference. Qian, L., A. G. Burns, B. A. Emery, B. Foster, G. Lu, A. Maute, A. D. Richmond, R. G. Roble, S. C. Solomon, and W. Methods for processing the data: Data Processing Methods are described in detailed in the accompanying paper currently under review for publication in AGU space weather journal. The paper can currently be referenced as: Mehta, P. M., Linares, R. L., and Sutton, E. K., (2018). A quasi-physical dynamic reduced order model for thermosphere mass density via Hermitian Space Dynamic Mode Decomposition, under review, Space Weather. 3. Instrument- or software-specific information needed to interpret the data: MATLAB 4. Standards and calibration information, if appropriate: 5. Environmental/experimental conditions: 6. Describe any quality-assurance procedures performed on the data: 7. People involved with sample collection, processing, analysis and/or submission: The TIE-GCM simulation output was provided by Eric Sutton (co-author) on the accompanying paper where the development of the reduced order model is described.
