File List A. Filename: RaspberryCrosses.pdf Description: Record of 1974 and 1975 raspberry crosses and planing plan in 1975 for seedlings from 1974 crosses. Numerical values for hardiness and vigor of seedlings from 1974 crosses. Results from in vitro bioassay of aphid feeding. Species included: Rubus/raspberry -------------------------- METHODOLOGICAL INFORMATION -------------------------- 1. Description of methods used for collection/generation of data: Record of 1974 and 1975 raspberry crosses contains lists of crosses made in 1974 and 1975. The designation for a cross consists of RY, the first and last letter of the common name of the crop, followed by a number that includes the last two digits of the year and then the sequential number of the cross within that year, e.g. RY 7401 would be the first cross (01) made in 1974. Parents of each cross are also listed as are number of plants transplanted in the greenhouse and number of plants eventually planted to the field. The field planting plan in 1975 is provided for seedlings from 1974 crosses with row and plant numbers for each cross. Planting plan for 1975 seedlings is not included in the document. Results from in vitro bioassay of aphid feeding on Page 11-12. Methods information is provided on page 12. It is not clear which aphid species was used for the bioassay. Numerical values for hardiness and vigor for each seedling from 1974 crosses on pages 13-24. The scale for hardiness and vigor ratings is provided on page 13. Same data for 1976 planting (presumably of 1975 crosses) is provided on pages 25-65. No map of 1976 planting is provided. 2. People involved with data collection: As stated above, since the data was collected over large periods of time, it is unclear who authored each page/dataset. Leadership at the Horticultural Research Center/Fruit Breeding Farm has been documented in a few publications, including: Snyder, Leon C. 1983.
