We completed 4 flights, 3 with the new avionics, one with the micronav. We flew the baseline controller (Paw's) on three flights. We also flew and LQR controller on one flight, but the pitch controller was unstable (limit cycle). Results with the new sensors was mixed. IMU worked great. GPS (EM406A) had some difficulty obtaining lock and keeping it during flight. Micronav also has some difficulty with keeping lock- may have been due to clouds and steep bank angles. New pressure sensors worked nominally on occasion, but also exhibited some non-sensical data at times (negative airspeeds, altitudes obviously wrong). Further analysis of the data is needed to see what is going on. Data dump via ethernet worked flawlessly. Ethernet connection to start the program was intermittent, but worked enough to get the job done. Back to FlightReports
