The enclosed export files were generated with partial support by the Minerals Diversification Program as administered by the Minerals Coordinating Committee for the Minnesota Legislature. The paper map "print on demand" version of these digital files is listed as Minnesota Geological Survey publication, Miscellaneous Map Series Map M-100, Bedrock Geology of Mille Lacs 30 x 60 minute quadrangle, 1999. All digital covers were created in ARCINFO UNIX environment and exported in an uncompressed format. If you are working in UNIX environment: The files are packaged in a compressed tar format. Present is a text file called index.txt, which lists all cover names and a brief description of what each cover contains. Projection information is given for the covers by typing "describe [cover name]" in at the ARC prompt. All covers are registered in UTM coordinates, zone 15, NAD83 projection. Compilation scale is 1:100,000. The metadata is stored in a directory of the same name and is in a .pdf file format readable by Acrobat reader 3.0.
