Bleser Institution: Riley Purgatory Bluff Creek Watershed District (RPBCWD) Address: 18681 Lake Dr E, Chanhassen, MN 55317 Email: cbleser@rpbcwd.org 3. Date of data collection (single date, range, approximate date) Field measurements and samples were collected 2016-2018. Laboratory incubations were conducted 2016-2018. Laboratory analyses were conducted 2016-2019. RPBCWD data were collected 2010-2012. 4. Geographic location of data collection (where was data collected?): Field measurements and samples were collected in St. Cloud, MN (pond A), Minnetonka, MN (pond B), Roseville, MN (ponds C, D, and E), and Edina, MN (ponds F and G). Laboratory incubations were conducted at the St. Anthony Falls Laboratory in Minneapolis, MN. Laboratory analyses were conducted at the St. Anthony Falls Laboratory in Minneapolis, MN. RPBCWD data were collected in Bloomington, MN, Chanhassen, MN, Eden Prairie, MN, Minnetonka, MN, and Shorewood, MN. 5. Information about funding sources that supported the collection of the data: Laboratory analyses facilitated by Peter Corkery, Rikita Patel, Peter Olson, Maria Camila Merino Franco, and Parker Brown. Field sampling assisted by Krysta Garayt, Claire Jaeger Mountain, Peter Corkery, Peter Olson, Maria Camila Merino Franco, and Parker Brown. Funding provided by the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency through funding from the Minnesota Clean Water Council and by the City of Edina, Minnesota. Funding for the first author was provided by the National Science Foundation (grant number 00039202). Field work supported by LacCore, UMN. Data provided by the Riley Purgatory Bluff Creek Watershed District (RPBCWD) was collected by David Austin (PI) and Roger Scharf (co-PI) of CH2M (now Jacobs) in a project funded by the RPBCWD from 2010 - 2012. The Cities of Bloomington, Chanhassen, Eden Prairie and Minnetonka helped monitor the stormwater ponds in the RPBCWD. The City of St. Cloud, Minnesota provided additional monitoring data for pond A. Research performed using facilities and resources of the Department of Civil, Environmental, and Geo- Engineering, the Department of Ecology, Evolution, and Behavior, and the St. Anthony Falls Laboratory of the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities. -------------------------- SHARING/ACCESS INFORMATION -------------------------- This dataset supports the journal article, "Internal loading in stormwater ponds as a phosphorus source to downstream waters," available at https://doi.org/10.1002/lol2.10155. Filename: Internal Loading in Stormwater Ponds as a Phosphorus Source to Downstream Waters_Field Profiles.csv Short description: Profile measurements of temperature (temp) and dissolved oxygen (DO) collected from 7 urban stormwater ponds in Minnesota at specified depths from the water surfaces. Null values are indicated by empty cells. B. Filename: Internal Loading in Stormwater Ponds as a Phosphorus Source to Downstream Waters_Sediment Data.csv Short description: Sediment phosphorus data from sequential extractions of different phosphorus fractions present in the bottom sediments from 7 urban stormwater ponds in Minnesota. Sediments were extracted from specified depths of sediment cores following incubations. The depth increments are as follows for each core: 0-1, 2-3, 3-4, 4-5, 5-8, and 8-11. If using Microsoft Excel to read this file, note that the data must be imported as text to avoid these ranges being interpreted as dates. C. Filename: Internal Loading in Stormwater Ponds as a Phosphorus Source to Downstream Waters_Field TP.csv Short description: Total phosphorus (TP) sample data from 7 urban stormwater ponds in Minnesota. D. Filename: Internal Loading in Stormwater Ponds as a Phosphorus Source to Downstream Waters_Incubation Data.csv Short description: Soluble reactive phosphorus (SRP), dissolved oxygen (DO), and temperature (temp) measurements from incubation experiments of intact sediment cores from 7 urban stormwater ponds in Minnesota. The incubations consisted of 4 phases: 0) mixed aeration phase, 1) quiescent anoxia (DO <1 mg/L), 2) mixed anoxia, and 3) extended mixed anoxia. Height measurements refer to the height above the water-sediment interface in each sediment core incubation. Null values are indicated by empty cells. E. Filename: Internal Loading in Stormwater Ponds as a Phosphorus Source to Downstream Waters_RPBCWD 98-Pond Dataset.csv Short description: A collection of total phosphorus surface samples from 98 urban stormwater ponds in Minnesota sampled over 3 years.
