Data for morphological trait measurements for "Detrimental effects of rhizobial inoculum early in the life of partridge pea Chamaecrista fasciculata" Data recorded: "TagID" = Full sibling ID (before decimal) and replicate ID (after decimal) "Position" = Tray and position number "Family" = Full sibling family Identification "Treatment" = Treatment given to plant "OD"=No rhizobia, drought; "OW" = no rhizobia, wet; "RD" = rhizobia, drought; "RW" = rhizobia, wet "Biotic" = Biotic element of treatment (O or R) "Abiotic" = Abiotic element of treatment (W or D) "Germination.date" = Date of germination in decimal format "Stem.length.1", "stem.length.2" or "stem.length.3" = Measured stem length from soil for measurement time 1,2, and 3 "Leaf.1", "leaf.2", and "leaf.3" = Leaf number at time 1, 2 and 3 "Branch.1", "branch.2", and "branch.3" = Secondary branch number at time 1, 2, and 3 "Leaf.branch.1", "leaf.branch.2", "leaf.branch.3" = Total leaf number on secondary branches "Final.leaf" = Total number of leaves on the plant at the end of the experiment "Leaf.lost" = Total number of leaves lost at the end of the experiment, counted using leaf scars "Fungus" = Presence of fungus on the plant at end of experiment "Stem.rgr" = Relative growth rate of stem over the whole experiment "Leaf.rgr" = Relative growth rate of leaf number, including total leaves (final.leaf + leaf.lost) Final leaf only refers to the leaves remaining on the plant at the end of the study. Total leaf refers to the leaves remaining on the plant at the end of the study plus the total number of leaves lost. RGR analyses used data from the first and last measurements (time 1 and 3). Final leaf number used in computing leaf RGR was found by adding the total number of leaves lost with the final number of leaves remaining on the plant. Lost leaves were included because final leaf number for some seedlings was smaller than initial leaf number, producing negative RGRs.
