This database file contains characteristics and descriptions of each artifact recovered from the Source of the Douix located in Châtillon-sur-Seine, France. The complete artifact assemblage is currently housed at the Musée du Pays Châtillonnais in Châtillon-sur-Seine, France. This information was collected in person by Katherine M. Erdman during multiple research trips between 2011 and 2014. A catalog and analysis of these data can be found in Erdman's 2014 dissertation, "Engaging the Intranatural at the Source of the Douix (Côte-d’Or, France): Objects, Communication, and Ritual in a Fluid Environment.”


**AllData (sheet 1)**
ID = number in which an object was entered into database
D-Cat # = unique cataloge number given to an object by Erdman which contains the period, the object type, and the number of that type from that period (see DouixCatalogueCode for specific references). 
Object Type = type of object
Sub-Type = specific type of object if available
Inventory # = museum inventory number based on the French catalog system
Museum Location = location of object in the museum (annex, public display) 
Period = general period of objet (Hallstatt, La Tene, Gallo-Roman, Early Modern, Modern, Undetermined) 
Dates = specific dates or century of object if available
Material = material(s) from which the object was made
Preservation = current preservation condition of object (complete, broken, fragment) 
Measurements all in metric= Height(cm), Width(cm), Length(cm), Thickness(cm), Diameter(cm), Hole Dmtr(cm) (hole diameter), Weight (g)
Description = additional information or description of the object
Location = location and date of recovery from the Douix if known
Blank = absent
