| Purpose | The maps were the basis for the 1969 report An Ecological Study of the Twin Cities Metropolitan Area, which provided a framework for land use planning throughout the metro area. The maps were digitized to compare the land use recommendations with actual changes to land uses patterns in subsequent decades. | |||
