The following paper devises a step‐by‐step process/method to quickly optimize passive design strategies in the conceptual design phase in architectural practice. This study explores the potential capabilities of Sefaira, a cloudbased software platform for performance‐based design, to achieve this purpose. The ultimate aim of the study is to determine what passive design strategies have the most impact on building energy consumption and daylight
potential, prioritize them in decreasing order of impact, and devise a method for architects to make quick and impactful design decisions while developing conceptual designs hence integrating this process into their workflow.
