Precision Agriculture: Robotics and Sensor Development for Revolutionary Improvements in the Global Food Supply and Reduced Environmental Impact in the Agriculture Industry

Precision Agriculture involves measuring variations across a field and using precise application of resources to supply crops with their exact needs. This improves overall farm productivity and minimizes negative environmental impacts, such as runoff fertilizer. Our research investigates novel uses of robotics, sensors, and data analytics to make precision agriculture techniques effective and affordable for every farmer in Minnesota and beyond. This data collection will disseminate data sets, documentation, tools, and results that are produced by this group.
